I’ve started a Lottery Topsites page and I’ve put my 2 sites on there, this one which gets a nice graphic on there and I’ve told the team about it.

I’ve found topsites to be very useful, some searches on AOL have my site as number 1, a toplist site listing of my site as number 2 AND number 3 is another topsite listing of my site. So it’s pretty sweet for recipricol listing ranking and also it’s nice to have a button with number 1 on it (see the right side toolbar for another number 1!)

I’ve left the registrations open to anyone with a lottery related site/blog/forum so I’ll message a few people and let them know about it.

The VWD Forum is now on the list and with the amount of pageviews Mally gets, he’s going to be number 1 all the time!! Check back later for news about the forum.

I have been using a feature of the back office for a while now that shows you how many people have opened promotional emails and if they clicked on a link (and what page they saw) and it’s been very useful. It’s nice to let people know there is someone behind the scenes for a big company like VWD, that way they have a bit more confidence in the site and you.

I had a nice chat today with someone who I had followed up on and already they are a new member!

I’ve been fiddling with adsense lately as a way to keep myself busy during the quiet times and I’ve made a couple sites and put the code on there (made $0.07 already!! lol) so I thought about putting some on here. Now normally I wouldn’t do it because basically this is my blog for my own affiliate business and if anyones going to be clicking links, I want it to go to my own page where I earn substantially more than a few pennies for a successful click. But, you never know says They (you know, “they say…”) so I’ll add some adsense code to the top of the page in place of the grab a grand banner and see what happens over the period of a week.

The group is starting to move again, the Euromillions massive rollover usually does that! I’ve been telling as many people as possible about it and many business cards have gone out. Some will look and join, some will just look. It’s all good! Yesterday I had someone join who had first looked at my site over 2 years ago! You can never tell (shock, horror! They was right!)

I have been using total leads for a while now and I have found them to be very useful to keep my back office populated with interested souls who continue to receive updates on the lottery and rollovers for as long as they are subscribed. I do get a few signups from them too. Some months are better than others but I regularly get a signup from someone who entered their details over 1 year ago!

So probably worth it then!

For those of you that don’t know, Total Leads are found in the back office of the main site and are for members only. They are people that have already shown an interest in the lottery and they are all double opt in so there’s no problems with spam. Once you order some leads they go directly into your automatic prospector ready to receive emails sent out by the company. Some join, some wait a year and then join and others don’t. It’s a bit random but it’s quite an effective way to get people into your prospector!

I started a new xbox-360-videos blog today and populated it with a swiki and some adsense code. I’ll spend the rest of the day putting in some gameplay footage from Xbox 360 games and see if it gets any traffic.
