My VWD Lottery Experience.

I went to do some letterboxing of my own designed grab a grand cards today and thought I would get through a whole bunch by doing the local tower blocks. Every time I walk past I can see how many satellite dishes there are so there must be some disposable income in there !
I used to do the blocks near my old place and it got through quite a few every weekend but the local ones to me now have a security door on every single floor so I couldn’t get access. they had a T for tradesman bell but I think I was too late for it to work.

I ended up doing the roads and roads of 4 story blocks which ended up making me sweat like mad! serves me right for not going to the gym yesterday! After the initial shock at having to work at something I actually got quite into it and got a good cardio workout while I stormed round delivering cards. Get fit and rich at the same time. I might do an info-mercial and call it “The steps to richness” LOL

There’s a gamut of numbers and follow ups to do tomorrow! I think I might have to buy a bigger desk diary with all the numbers, follow-ups and notes that I make now. It’s nice to be busy but it’ll all have to go on hold for a couple of days this week so me and her can celebrate another birthday (and I can spend some ludicrous amounts of cash on gifts, dinner and sundries)

I did the blog training conference call last night, well, it was more of a training session for a few select people. I was able to record it and put it up for download for those that couldn’t make the call and I’ve already had a few calls from people (even some from cross-line…hello Andy!) and Robby invited someone who he had contacted about the e-lottery and invited her on. She joined today hello Susan!

Being able to record the calls over skype has been very useful, we did some more 3 way calls this evening alternating turns in talking to some prospects who left their details on a web form today. It’s nice to be able to talk to someone on the same day that they request information while it’s still fresh in their mind. We had quite a laugh on the calls, we even had a green that was quite challenging but it’s so much easier to do the calls when you’ve got someone else on the line. Grr, I logged on to count the new subscribers to my various newsletters and found that I couldn’t log on.
It seems the whole of the database was dropped into the ether. oh crap. Over 30,000 words that I have typed last week. All the double opt-in subscribers gone. oh bugger. I am trialling aweber so the subscriptions are still active, I’ll see how they go at 19.95 a month.

The good news is that I have decided on the date of the team event, it’s going to be on the 25th March somewhere up north. I haven’t got an exact location yet but that will be set soon. I have a frappr map where my active affiliates have put their location (if you’re in my downline, then get on there!) so I can find a place that is convenient to all.

Weekly training calls, I want to do these on Fridays at 7pm GMT using the chat_room. I’ve had some test runs and it seems good enough to have enough members in with a few guest speakers that everyone can hear. I’ll be playing audio training through it every weekday this week between 3pm and 4pm GMT so people wanting to come on the training call can test it out before the night to check they can hear the audio. VWD’s conference room will be released this month (so says the website) so hopefully it will have all the features needed for online training.

I did 30 calls yesterday and got a fairly good response, it’s really upped my confidence and I find I am looking for people to phone now! To think I never used to like the phone, I blame Robby.

Had a great day today! I spent a while calling prospects with my new affiliate on a 3 way call. Oh it’s so much easier to call someone when you have someone else on the line with you, even if they don’t talk. We went through quite a few and refined our script a little and it was great having a critique on how I did. I always sound different to myself you see!

I just checked and my pagerank for this site has gone up to 5 !!! great stuff. (which has mysteriously disappeared after 1 day, it still says 5 here) aha, I found out why, it’s because one of the buttons on the toolbar isn’t loading. The PR comes up after the page has fully loaded and the page isn’t loading completely because of the slow remotely hosted button. I think I’ll change the buttons to local now.

My main site has a page rank of 4 too so I’m quite pleased with google for now (even my old unused blog went up to 3), if only I would go back up to the top of the listings for searches of euromillions, I was up there for a few weeks on most search engines for that keyword but I think google gives you good search placement when you have a new blog and then you suddenly appear way down on page 72. Luckily, for some search terms my blog listing in some of the blog top sites comes up as number 2 or 3 so it just requires the user to make one more click.

I did a deal with a traffic exchange [link] so my page gets shown as the first page anyone see’s when they log in. I have got it for a week, it started last night about 12 hours ago and it’s already had over 600 hits! 2 grab a grand signups and a couple to my learn to earn series. There was 15 visitors online at the same time tonight.

OK time for bed, I’ve got another call tomorrow at 10am (it’s 3am now) but I’m ready for it seeing as tonight’s mentoring_for_free call was so useful, I added some stuff to my color chart like “do the focus story” on the blue and “analysis paralysis” to the green, I also added “the coffee story” to the yellow too. I haven’t spoken to many reds so I haven’t put anything extra on that yet (maybe a picture of Sir Alan Sugar?).

Online signups come in thick and fast sometimes and it’s a real thrill to hear the company ring tone as my message alert sounds on my cellphone but it doesn’t compare to the feeling of an offline signup, one where you have mentioned the company and got some interest then followed up with more information and then finally do a return visit and sign them up!
It gives you more confidence, stronger contacts and a definite sense of achievement. Even though online sales and companies continue to grow, I think that the offline touch really helps. There are so many adverts, sponsorships and instant promotions on the net and T.V that people are more open to face to face communication again and it’s apparent in my day to day meetings with new people.

The Euromillions rollover looks like it will exceed 100 Million GBP (172M USD) and I’ve got 2 boxes of flyers left to go out, 2+2 = signups! lol

Marketing Results

There’s been some really good results with my new schedule for online and offline promoting, my starter packs that went out to affiliates were well received and there is a lot more action in the team. It’s quite exciting having such a large team now and watching the new people go from playing one game to playing both for free, even better when they start to make a profit!

I went out yesterday to do leaflets and I had downloaded the first Harry Potter audio book to my phone after reading about it at Akufu and I ended up doing the most flyer deliveries ever!, Stephen Fry has a great voice for reading and does such a good job of changing accents and intonations throughout the book and it’s many changing characters that I didn’t want to stop listening, I must have walked 10 miles yesterday and delivered over 600 flyers and I didn’t even notice it.
