10 Winners!!
The Leeds event was a resounding success! We all had a great day and it was a real experience seeing the people that I have talked to with VOIP for the past few weeks. Robby gave an excellent getting started section with what he did in his first 30 days and showed us his diary with week 1 - preparation and observation, week 2 planning and following through - sewing the seeds. Week 3 following up (reaping) week 4 support and a combination of 1, 2, 3 and 4 from now on. Awesome piece Robby.
The 21 game and following piece about getting off to a good start (and finish) seemed to go down well and I got a few laughs and people interacting with my half hour piece. It’s amazing what you can pick up from a few conferences and I was able to share the valuable nuggets that I have picked up from my previous jobs and motivational and instructional past and pass them on to people who I know will do something with them.
Well done to those that won a prize on the raffle and congratulations to all certificate receivers!! I took some good photo’s and should be able to upload them after I return.
I was really really pleased with how everything went and I can’t wait for the next one! (I’m expecting it to be twice the number of people too!) Look out for the news in late April for the next event in Leeds.
A big thanks to those that turned up and I hope you all got something out of the day….I know I did.

I’ve just added a couple more domain names to point to here that should be live soon. 1 2

Had a great online conference today in the chat_room, I interviewed Richard about how he got to have 5 players under him within 10 days. I also mentioned what I have planned for the Leeds event and we covered some general questions. Dave gave us a great piece on what he’s been doing lately and gave us details his Kleeneze style DVD drops.
My main pc is still in the copying the backup across stage but I think I managed to save all my contacts and emails so it’s just a case of installing all my applications again. Oh gawd I hope I have all the disks in one place. Every time I have a hard drive crash I always swear that I’m going to do regular backups but it never happens. The last time I had to do a complete install I got everything running and then made an image of the C partition and that’s whats currently being converted from fat32 to ntfs as it’s being transferred to my new SATA drive. oh the woes of a computer geek!
I’m really excited about the Leeds event, I’ve spent quite a lot of time preparing some IMO excellent pieces on starting off on the right foot and the follow up. I’ve managed to pick up some really great presentation tips from all the conferences I’ve been to and added some really useful pieces from my days as a business telecoms rep.
The newsletter will go out this week too, by golly it’s been busy in the team! well done everyone is all I can say!!

Spent a little while last night putting the final paragraphs to the newsletter for my group. Things have changed a little, rather than send out a mass mail to the group every time there is an announcement I decided to only send it to a few key people who could then send it on to their downline.
VWDForum is looking a little dark, something seems afoot to peeps who are logged out. If you are having trouble seeing the site, just follow this link and log on, once you are logged in, you can see everything again (mal must have forgot to pay the electric!)
http://lottery-syndicate-affiliate.com/forum/login.php
..edit.. All fixed now, a new template was all that was required
The Team Event is mentioned in the newsletter along with details on the new recruitment drive incentive. Exciting times!!
My new 0800 number is going well too, at least a call a day for my barrier flyers, I’ve put some in some shop windows and laminated a few to cable tie to some barriers next to busy roads (near the traffic lights). I’m sick today though
so I can’t go out and do some more but at least I’m still earning money in my pyjamas!
The online conference held in the chat_room last Friday was a success, I think all involved found it useful and I can’t wait to host another one next week. I sent a newsletter to the whole group detailing some of what was discussed and hopefully that should energize some more people to come to the next one. (I didn’t manage to get a screen-shot with every participant showing, but you get the idea with this early grab)
This site is almost at 100,000 visitors, not bad seeing as I only started it in November so I think I might have a little free prize draw for the 100,00th visitor. What about a free months membership to the elottery? add a little support and help from me and I’m certain the lucky winner will be playing the lottery for free before the month runs out. The VWD back office has a feature to “gift” someone a membership for up to 6 months which is a great way to get someone into the business with no obligation (no payment details are required either, just a postal address). Watch this space for details. I should be putting something up this week.
I read a new book, Robby sent it to me. I only wish I had read it when I started in this business! It’s called “the 40 second presentation that will change your life” and it’s got me all goose-bumpy about my own business and where I can take it with my new knowledge, skills and eager beaver downline. I have found an online version of it which I will be serialising in an email course for my own affiliates to read. (I’ll let you all know when it’s ready!)

Welcome Lea from GBR who has joined as a new Euromillions player.
phew, I was beginning to think my downline would get more signups than me this month. Certainly puts credit to the “light the fire under them” section of the above mentioned book! (Gawd ‘elp me when Robby gets into second gear)
Doesn’t matter really, I give away pretty much all of my own signups to downline members who are active in their promotions and marketing, it’s so worth it though when I get emails from happy members. Until they get their legs, it’s a wonderful way to motivate someone - especially in the early days when it all seems to be such a steep learning curve! (I wonder who will get this latest one?)

Well done Richard for introducing a new double game player. Welcome George from GBR

Well done again Robby for introducing a new UK affiliate from GBR. Welcome Lindsay

Training will be going on in the chat_room tonight for all affiliates and guests. There will be a guest spot by Robby (you can see he knows his stuff from the amount of “well done Robby” ’s on the posts since he joined!). I’ve sent out lots of emails to every affiliate in the group (over 100) and invited as many prospects as I could so they can see the power of a mastermind group and what it can do for your enthusiasm.
I have been informed by Len at HQ that the new conference room will have audio and video capabilities and should be ready within a week so it looks like I wont have to worry about sourcing an alternative to my chat_room for training. Plus, the Viva Las Vegas miles qualifiers will all be in Vegas so we’ve got it all to ourselves until they come back!

Grr, I logged on to count the new subscribers to my various newsletters and found that I couldn’t log on. ![]()
It seems the whole of the database was dropped into the ether. oh crap. Over 30,000 words that I have typed last week. All the double opt-in subscribers gone. oh bugger. I am trialling aweber so the subscriptions are still active, I’ll see how they go at 19.95 a month.
The good news is that I have decided on the date of the team event, it’s going to be on the 25th March somewhere up north. I haven’t got an exact location yet but that will be set soon. I have a frappr map where my active affiliates have put their location (if you’re in my downline, then get on there!) so I can find a place that is convenient to all.
Weekly training calls, I want to do these on Fridays at 7pm GMT using the chat_room. I’ve had some test runs and it seems good enough to have enough members in with a few guest speakers that everyone can hear. I’ll be playing audio training through it every weekday this week between 3pm and 4pm GMT so people wanting to come on the training call can test it out before the night to check they can hear the audio. VWD’s conference room will be released this month (so says the website) so hopefully it will have all the features needed for online training.
I did 30 calls yesterday and got a fairly good response, it’s really upped my confidence and I find I am looking for people to phone now! To think I never used to like the phone, I blame Robby. ![]()

How to get ahead in MLM? Learn from the best!
I’ve just got back from Tom ‘big al’ Schreiter’s training workshop in London. It only cost me a tenner to go in but I left with more riches than I could have imagined. I am still buzzing from all the information I learnt along with a room full of people all from different MLM companies. All Leaders.
He began with a short intro on how he had troubles for his first year and 10 months and the kind of advice he got from his upline…
“What do I say at the presentations?” he asked…
“Just be yourself….” says the sponsor
“I’m not getting anywhere…”
“go and set some goals….”
and more that I can’t remember but each one was acted out and performed to the room. It was hilarious! He had captured us all within the first minute of talking to us and revealing there is more to advice than just the words.
He said there are three types of people you will sponsor in this business..
——————————————————————–
Why they say “No”…
After finding that noone in the room could speak Portugese, he asked us how we would get someone to come to a presentation if we was in the middle of Portugal… Whatever we said, they wouldn’t understand. they wouldn’t come. It wasn’t personal, it wasn’t because they didn’t like us. It was because we didn’t have the skills to speak Portugese.
When we make a presentation or enthuse about our business, we are talking about the reasons we think it is good, after getting us to look left and right we all admitted that everyone is different, everyone listens differently, everyone thinks differently. Maybe that’s why everyone doesn’t join up straight away? lol. it made sense, I wish I could remember the anecdotes and references to why certain colours react differently and how they related to what he was saying. It’s all in my head but every time I try to type it, it disappears!
——————————————————————–
Learn to speak the 4 secret languages
Tom went on in great detail on how to spot the different colour types. Each colour described was a conference each to it’s own, he has a great presence and was able to keep us all enraptured to what he was saying! He explained how Michael Dlouhy [link] is a blue and seeing as Tom is a green, if they went driving somewhere - Tom would drive and Michael would talk!
During all this we had twice turned to someone to chat to them for 3 minutes and see if we could tell the partners colour. I turned to my right the first time and met Petra, she turned out to be blue… I could tell almost straight away, she had already been laughing hard at the funnies and she was very easy to get to talk about something, I only had to give her a verbal prod and off she would go chatting away about family, background, business, partner and more (all in 3 minutes LOL).
Afterwards, Tom asked for a volenteer and my hand went up. He asked me what I had found and I told him, he agreed with my reasons and opinion and I was rewarded with a CD. He asked others and they got CD’s too.
The second time I talked to Margaret and she was definitely a yellow, I didn’t even need to ask her anything. She’d already given me some paper from her book for me to take notes. she knew I had gone there on my own and made a point to make me feel welcome by introducing me to her partner and friend. YELLOW!!!
It was great fun and it made it clear in my mind how much fun prospecting can be, how the hard work of trying to close someone needn’t be done! its great to get to know someone by studying the colors to success method [link] , you just want to find their colour (all these English and American spellings are getting me confused!)
We then all had a 15 minute break….I met Mike and his partner outside when I went for a smoke (booo I know!!) Nice couple, we talked for a few minutes on our different business and it turns out they live near me! small small world in MLM.
On returning we were all waiting for the golden information he had promised us before the break, a nice guy called Rob sat next to me, he asked if I needed a paper and something to lean on (yellow!!) and we all enjoyed the next session….

Magic Language
Those that know the colours will understand this bit more.
We dealt with what to say in a few words to turn around a person. The magic language that only needs a few words to bring them to your meeting.
My mind has the format and structure of the things he went over but here I’ll have to do with snippets rather than exact word for word sentances..
Top left colour:
“would you like to help me?”
“I only need one more person to get a prize, it would be so nice if you could help me”
Top right colour:
“you gotta come, it’ll be so exciting, there will be a load of new people there to meet and talk to”
“It’ll be great, we’re gonna talk about lots”
“about the travel opportunities”
Bottom right colour:
“there’s a meeting tonight about the massive earnings of some new members”
“people are being able to fire their boss and not take orders from anyone now”
“there are always competitions to win trophies for top recruiters, they get up on stage and receive them”
Bottom left colour:
“come to the meeting and tell me your opinion”
“here’s a pack containing the links to the different sites that explain the different parts of the business”
——————————————————————–
Motivation
How to motivate the different colours in your team, why one person will love a cruise and how another would like a weekend at a spa.
Lovely stuff, what to give people based on their colour, how to phrase the same thing but have it heard differently by all.
ker-ching! was all I could hear after this section.
——————————————————————–
Who do you get to talk at your meetings?
Oh get the yellow to talk about the products, everyone loves a yellow!
if you must use the blue, take him aside and tell him he’s got 30 seconds to speak and get him to rehearse it with you first! lol
Reds? get them to talk about the compensation plan (we thought greens would be best but they’d send everyone to sleep!) reds are more organised.
Who talks about travel? blues? hell, no! Get the reds again.
what about the greens? what do they talk about? …NOTHING “here’s a stack of info”
——————————————————————–
Homework
Find 1 person a day who you don’t know and talk to them for 3 minutes and find out what colour they are.
——————————————————————–
——————————————————————–
That’s it!
There was much much more but I’m a blue so even though I love to tell you the story, I’m already thinking about what’s for dinner and when the movie will start on BBC2.
happy networking and Hi to all those nice peeps I met in the Novotel M4 j4 London
