My VWD Lottery Experience.

I have just spent a while responding to a question on a forum, it must have touched a nerve because I spent over 1 and a half hours writing this out.. is it too much do you think?

here’s the question..

So how would you go about promoting the business online without vast sums of money & technical expertise (i.e. doing blogs, building websites etc…etc…)?

I am looking to get things moving quickly but don’t have the time to go standing on street corners or building complexed websites etc…etc…

There were big storms across the pond yesterday and it knocked out the server that hosts our unofficial chatroom, it’s just got back up and working again so all is ready for tonights calls. Thanks to DarrenUK from the forum for continually checking the room to let us know it was up and working again.

Tonights will be quite busy, I have new members to welcome, new prospects to call, follow ups to prospects from last week and even a member who is cancelling who I’d like to talk around to staying. At 7pm there will also be my back office training with a new affiliate, everyone is welcome to come along and listen in. This has been a really good week with my business, not only have I made some excellent calls (and recorded some!) but my own affiliates have been doing their bit too! you only have to look at the group signups lower down the page to see how well they are doing.

Today, Matthew who joined just 2 weeks ago sent me a text to say he has signed up his first affiliate. He had already got his first player member within a week of joining so I placed another player under him as a well done and it seems he hasn’t stopped there. He approached his warm market and now has his second signup so in the interests of keeping the ball rolling, he now has another bonus member from me and a promise to put one under his new affiliate if they can bring someone in to his team. hmmm, maybe this could cost me a few members! totally worth it though.

I have been doing training calls this week too in the unofficial VWD chat room (www.vwdchatroom.com), it’s been really helped by my new widget that I made so I can route my mobile phone call through the chatroom so everyone can listen in. The response has been great from those that listened in (even though I’m no expert on the phone). Even experienced affiliates have said how useful they are so it’s really satisfying to know I am helping other people discover how useful the phone is.

One of the calls I made to a prospect in the room was a single dad, unemployed with 3 children to look after. I talked to him on the phone to arrange to send him a DVD, did so and just 3 days later he was a double game affiliate and after giving him his welcome call I have found out that he has all the right attitude settings for this business. I am going to make it my mission to see that he succeeds because that’s what this business is about, it’s getting your ordinary Joe (or Jane) into a business that, when worked properly, can yield great rewards. Once I have him up and running with the elottery, he will be the perfect story to tell others in the same position and he’ll know exactly what to do with his members because he would have already done it himself.

There is a presentation I am doing on Sunday in the chatroom about getting 9 members in 9 days, I wrote up about it here, every single thing I did to bring in 5 affiliates and 4 players over a period of a week and a half. I have made a few slides but I’ve been really busy with other things this week so I’ll have to make the notes on Saturday and I’ll be ready for the conference call when it goes ahead.

As long as I keep doing the things I am doing, I am certain that the next month will see my team grow to it’s biggest yet.

I have been having a right old time of it lately on the phone with members listening in on my calls with prospects and new members, I must say it’s so much nicer to have a few people to discuss the call with afterwards (not to mention the pressure to perform!). The past few weeks I have been pretty much sending out 1 dvd a day to the big advertising leads with not a bad response but a few come without addresses which I try to get a replacement for.
The previous ones were replaced but now they have got back to me about one I wanted replacing saying they don’t guarantee an address with their 1.80 GBP per time leads. I’m sorry but if I’m paying nearly 2 quid for a prospects details, I expect more than a first name and webmail address, I could get thousands of those by harvesting emails on the net or paying for a rusty old contacts cd off ebay! pah.

I made a new thing for my affiliates today so I can make it a bit easier for them to add a request a dvd link to their pages, rather than making a seperate form and page for each member I added some php script so I can use just the one page and have it change the details depending on which page linked to it. nice.

Last night we had the first meeting of the vwdchatroom, it went quite well for a first night with a few tips and questions being thrown about. Next week I am doing a presentation about my 9 members in 9 days, it’s just a rehash of my elottery journal entries I made when I was going for executive. I managed to write down everything I did for the 9 days to promote so I’ll have some exact things to share with people rather than saying “talk to everyone you meet”. :-/

Well, this is the second week of me trying to get up to executive affiliate before the big meeting on Saturday. I’m pretty close, I have had 6 personal signups since I started noting everything down. 4 were affiliates so I’m only 2 away from my target! The group also had quite a few signups coming in too so the team has really grown this week. I have 2 warm market prospects left to approach and a few Big_Advertising leads to follow up on so I am fairly certain that I’ll get exec before the week is out.

Woke up and saw I had a text message saying I got a new player. Checked the emails, none elottery related.
Guest hits over the weekend soared! 7 more prospects in the prospector - 6 total leads and 1 grab a grand.
1 follow up email to do in email tracking.

Was supposed to do a couple of calls but completely forgot! I’ll work harder tomorrow I did put together a pack for the new affiliate ready for posting though so not a complete wash out tonight

Got creative and made a new website template for The Empire Group portal. I’ll add some stuff to it tomorrow and see how it comes out.

Didn’t really have time to sit and put down things as they happened yesterday because it was so busy at home. I checked the email and and some to respond to from members. I saw 3 group signups come in and another prospect was added to the prospector from results by email. Guest hits were wayyy up! Talked to the contact from yesterday to get his domain working, still not been contacted by vwd to say he is in my team yet. Probably happen on Monday.

Phoned the Big_Advertising contact from last week, apparently she joined and then left the same day. Just changed her mind that’s all, it happens. She will still be in the system for follow up emails and may come around to it again in a few months which also happens a lot. Some people see the benefit of playing the elottery straight away and join but then get the willies when they tell their family and end up being pressured to quitting because aunty Flo thinks it’s a scam! So it’s important to phone a new member as soon as possible after they join so you can let them know there is a human being behind this thing and that there are many members out there like them.

Phoned another lead and arranged to send a DVD out to him.

Got the Euro results and won twice! My new Vwdforum account won on Saturdays draw too. Can’t believe it’s another rollover for the Euro!! nice
