My VWD Lottery Experience.

I just spent a while adjusting the elottery affiliate course content so it can use peoples first name, I must have put a :1% instead of a :2% in the text when I made them and it was using the wrong value so it wasn’t outputting the first name of the subscriber. doh!

I’ve added a new section to the training pages on the portal for email templates, I get asked all the time what to send new players and affiliates so I decided to put them all online. There’s 3 up for now and more will be added later.

Empire Hosting has been updated with a new bank of .co.uk domains so combined with the new domain robot script it’s ready to roll out on autobuy. Before, I had to manually create an activate each hosting account which was ok when it was for commercial designs because I was making the sale for the web creation and not just hosting but now, I have opened up the hosting with a substantial discount for VWD members, now they just have to choose their free domain name and select which hosting they want and it’ll all go through automatically when the payment has been sent.

There were big storms across the pond yesterday and it knocked out the server that hosts our unofficial chatroom, it’s just got back up and working again so all is ready for tonights calls. I have been knocking out a few tutorial videos lately which have really helped some people to get their own blog started or adding a banner to their emails. I had great fun creating a dynamic page to display a table with clickable thumbnails of each video. The page only started as a small bit of script that prints out a directory listing with php. Now it’s turned into a dynamically created table with thumbnails and random ad placements. Sweet! I’ll get some surroundings for it soon but for now I am pleased that it works in the way I expected. Here’s the first of what I hope to be many video tutorials showing how I do certain things for this business, it’s quite large (1024×768) because that’s the smallest I could make the screen and still see all the menus in Photoshop. I normally work at 1280×1024 and have a double size taskbar!. The flyer could have had some more features but time and MB took a toll.

The file is 47MB in size and is played in an embedded web page, click on the flyer to view the video (if your screen size is 1024×768 double click the video to go full-screen or press Alt+Enter).
