I think I might just run up a script to automate this!

I just spent a while adjusting the elottery affiliate course content so it can use peoples first name, I must have put a :1% instead of a :2% in the text when I made them and it was using the wrong value so it wasn’t outputting the first name of the subscriber. doh!

I’ve added a new section to the training pages on the portal for email templates, I get asked all the time what to send new players and affiliates so I decided to put them all online. There’s 3 up for now and more will be added later.

Empire Hosting has been updated with a new bank of .co.uk domains so combined with the new domain robot script it’s ready to roll out on autobuy. Before, I had to manually create an activate each hosting account which was ok when it was for commercial designs because I was making the sale for the web creation and not just hosting but now, I have opened up the hosting with a substantial discount for VWD members, now they just have to choose their free domain name and select which hosting they want and it’ll all go through automatically when the payment has been sent.

There were big storms across the pond yesterday and it knocked out the server that hosts our unofficial chatroom, it’s just got back up and working again so all is ready for tonights calls. I’m doing a conference tonight at the VWDchatroom, all it takes is a download of the PC client and then log in to the VWD Members Room. I will try and explain exactly how I got 9 members in 9 days, I’m not a 100 in a week kinda guy, I’m happy plodding along with up to 30 new members a month, this way I have time to work with my affiliates and help them get on their way to free play and I figure most people that would want to watch the conference and learn are those that want to get their first members or build a little bigger than free play, I feel it would be more useful to reveal exactly where each member came from and what I did to support them.

I have been having a right old time of it lately on the phone with members listening in on my calls with prospects and new members, I must say it’s so much nicer to have a few people to discuss the call with afterwards (not to mention the pressure to perform!). The past few weeks I have been pretty much sending out 1 dvd a day to the big advertising leads with not a bad response but a few come without addresses which I try to get a replacement for.
The previous ones were replaced but now they have got back to me about one I wanted replacing saying they don’t guarantee an address with their 1.80 GBP per time leads. I’m sorry but if I’m paying nearly 2 quid for a prospects details, I expect more than a first name and webmail address, I could get thousands of those by harvesting emails on the net or paying for a rusty old contacts cd off ebay! pah.

I made a new thing for my affiliates today so I can make it a bit easier for them to add a request a dvd link to their pages, rather than making a seperate form and page for each member I added some php script so I can use just the one page and have it change the details depending on which page linked to it. nice.

Last night we had the first meeting of the vwdchatroom, it went quite well for a first night with a few tips and questions being thrown about. Next week I am doing a presentation about my 9 members in 9 days, it’s just a rehash of my elottery journal entries I made when I was going for executive. I managed to write down everything I did for the 9 days to promote so I’ll have some exact things to share with people rather than saying “talk to everyone you meet”. :-/
